Seems there's a problem with the banner of claim dynasty upgrade, with 15 upgrades to it I get reset to 18 hexes, instead of 22. edit: i just noticed it increases area instead of hex per level and since the second age increases hexes in size iirc it probably works fine

yeah, the map rescales , scale the effects of the of any bonus dependent of distances and areas. including caps on hexes, production totals, etc. 

ok for some reason i pmayed it at galaxy but i can't actually access it from here anymore

yeah, I need to change how  I deploy to galaxy, embed link changes when I deploy new version in itch. I can update the version in itch, but you lose your saves.  or not... can you check if you lose your saves in galaxy. I just updated the game. 

nvm, the save games are kept on galaxy. all good. I will just have to update galaxy whenever I update itch

I did in year 1900 so probably 6 hour gaming

finally made it to work on  itch natively.  no more workaround hosting

Whenever I open a game from a save file the achievements all go off as if for the first time. The research and dynasty tab were better before all the pop-up tabs. the troops make little sense, with both dmg and defense being the same and at a rate of 1x 80 troops can still be stalled for quite a while by a mere 5. 

I actually fixed that bug of the load from achievments. I made massive changes  in the game and released it just now.  
regarding the legacy and researches, I really tried to have minimalist ui, without losing detail.  maybe I will have a button to switch to old list mode with all the details in card. 

you need massive troops because you far from capital. indeed seem to make little sense,  but it is what it is right now. I need to think how I refactor that.

I just loaded again from file and the achievement bug is fixed indeed, so thank you :)

what you think of the new battle UI? to select enemies and attack?

It works better than before now that it's its own tab rather than pop-ups. I did just get wiped out by an empire i didn't declare war on though so that wasn't fun, and some empires I just am not allowed to attack (the allocate and declare war button stays greyed out)

Also I didn't notice this before, but if i click on the cost of a research or legacy it also doesn't pop-up but just buys it, so there's no problem with that for me

I changed the behavior so the declare war can be both "alocate ... wait for troops ... declare war automatically when border full"... this is working well no? 

there was a bug with some empires in the data model.  those greyed outs should be fixed if you save and load the game with a new version I released just now.

algo got the full cards back as an option. 

the age of stone requirements were expanded a lot. did you got there already?  

currently on version 1.16.0  , a lot was added to the game. check the full change log in game

  • Auto-expands the map when player-controlled territory reaches radius thresholds (7/15/23…) using per-tick max-radius tracking.
  • Expanded Sovereign Hardiness and Enduring Vigor to 30 levels with streamlined.
  • Extended Banner of Claim to 33 levels with higher scaling costs; only level 1 still requires First Banner.
  • Legacy death window now supports the new level caps for longer-lived rulers.

I like the development aspect of this and I like the strategy aspect of this, but dealing with a randomized restart when getting into the strategy side is a bit annoying.

I would like to see an option that just stops the leader from dying and lets me expand until I fail, or maybe that holds a larger amount of territory and troops between leaders.

  • Player troop allocations now default to manual 0% for all empires, including newly discovered fronts.
  • Ruler death/rebirth resets all allocation sliders to manual 0%, preserving locks only.
  • Setting one empire to "all" now forces every other empire to manual 0% rather than auto.
  • Inactive fronts stay manual 0% instead of auto when they have no active border segments.
  • War toggle is blocked when you have no frontline troops, with an inline hint under the PEACE button.
  • Added troop and population path toggles to the Settings tab.
  • Show Military Numbers moved to Settings; unlocks with Scouting, auto-enables on completion, and can be toggled afterward.

Losing literally all progress if your capital gets conquered when you have to wait 17 hours to do basically everything sucks big time.

you right, fix to this issue was just delivered. capital loss now only causes ruler death

after buying 3 age upgrades and 3 stay spry upgrades, guy died 3 times in a row before i could even get to scouting. also massive wait to have an interactions. 
needs more time in the oven

the idea is to make your research permanent with legacy traits.  the rulers here can live really long times, but I want to gate such developments after some hard conquest.

how do you conquer a tile

there is a specific tech chain that will allow you to develop troops and attack. I just dont want to give  the recipe to do it. the fun is to find it out. I added offline time and double the LP generation, in my tests I get to conquer tiles in like 1000 seconds

hint: you need to get "staked hide shelters" before you get scouting and finally unlock the troop production  tech

I did all of that and more I already bought almost all of dynastic traits. I think it might be that the fist tab that looks like a globe is blank. It might be because I'm on Firefox.

I am seeing the same thing. I researched all the tech and unlocked all dynastic traits except Banner of Claim and can't conquer still. Also using Firefox and the Globe tab is blank.

Me too, seems like firefox isn't loading the attack dialog correctly.
